Divinity Lutheran in Parma Heights, Ohio is a place where you can nurture your relationship with God and his people. Established in 1948 with 73 parishioners, we’ve grown into a faith community of over 1,300 people of all ages, engaged in a wide spectrum of community service, fellowship and ministry.

Worship Services

Summer worship: Beginning May 24, we will have one service at 10am on Sundays. Our Saturday night service will continue at 5:30pm in the chapel.

This service is traditional with liturgy used from Evangelical Book of Worship (ELW). While it follows the same order as Sunday morning, it is laid-back and casual, and is usually held in our chapel.

Traditional service for the summer. On certain Sundays the music will also include christian contemporary music led by our praise band, Chosen.

But towards the end of that part of our education journey, we, like with many other career preparation paths, are expected to fulfill a year, and now sometimes, even two years’ worth of an internship experience, where we hopefully gain some more hands-on learning, and perhaps put some of our Biblical studies and theology training and pastoral care-honing into actual practice....

This past week, our Roman Catholic siblings in Christ made a bit of a churchy splash among us of the clergy sort, as numerous Bishops in the United States put forth new policies regarding funerals for their respective dioceses (equivalent to our geographical synods in our Evangelical Lutheran Church in America). The Twiggs-Havel Library is open on Sunday mornings and Wednesday mornings from 9 a.m. to Noon. Come in, browse and pick out a book!

Come and visit the Twiggs-Havel Library of Divinity Lutheran Church where we have books for every reader and age. Located across from Pastor Doug's office, our collection features thousands of Christian books - biographies, devotionals, Bibles, and many titles of fiction and nonfiction as well as a children's section.

Our library is funded solely by the donations of members and friends devoted to Christian reading. If you would like to support our library financially, please make your check payable to Divinity Lutheran Church and designate in the memo section that your donation is for the Twiggs-Havel Library. The donation may be placed in the offering plate or dropped off in the church office. We also accept gently used or new Christian books.
