Divinity Arts in Action (AIA)

AIA logoThe Arts in Action group was formed three years ago by Fredric Dray and Marlene Dray. A main goal of AIA is to infuse the local community, using the church as a venue, for community outreach in all forms of the fine and performing arts.

Many events have taken place over the past three years with Arts in Action, which saw over 3,000 people pass through our doors and into our sanctuary.

We are now embarking on a very exciting time for Divinity.  Beginning in May 2009, Cuyahoga Community College’s music department will be using our facility to host their various music events.  This will open even more doors for Divinity’s community outreach beyond the arts and community relations.

We are in need of support through time, sponsorships, and bodies, ushers and greeters, clean-up, and stage crew (setup and tear down) sound control, and possibly video. Arts in Action (AiA) sponsorships can be made through the church office or any Arts in Action person.

If you are interested helping out in other capacities, please approach any AIA member. The Chairman of the Tri-C music department has indicated that they will be using the sanctuary even in the summer months and we will be providing the needed resources in bodies at that time as well. At this time we would like to thank all of our friends and Divinity family for your solid support and look forward to our “new and improved” community outreach program.

Finally, we need the financial support of the Arts in Action Sponsorship Program, where you can subscribe to a level comfortable to you.  Within the next few Digests you will find a sponsorship form, we will also have future inserts to the Sunday announcements, or you can see any of the Arts in Action committee members.  In support of the outreach program we are presently seeking a corporate sponsor which we hope to be able to announce in the very near future.

Arts in Action Sponsorships:
Platinum Level: $250.00+
Gold Level: $150.00-249.00
Silver Level: $75.00-$149.00

Again if you have a desire to be part of this exciting adventure into a new chapter of Divinity’s outreach program just let a committee member know what you would like to do and we will see that you are directed to the committee member in-charge.
