The confirmation years are an exciting time of spiritual growth in a youth's life. It is a special time for both youth and their parents as they delve into their Christian beliefs and the special gifts with which God has blessed them.
At Divinity, the confirmation program starts at the beginning of 7th grade with affirmation in the spring of 8th grade.
During this time, youth meet on both Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings from 7 pm to 8:15 pm.
Rite of Confirmation is celebrated on the first Sunday in May each year.
Monthly Confirmation Activities 2009-2010
September 13: Clothe a Child Sunday: We will help sort clothes, have lunch, and leave for Redeemer Crisis Center to serve our community
October 23: Women’s Synod Assembly at Divinity: We will help serve dinner
October 24: Women’s Synod Assembly at Divinity: We will be helping baby-sit moms enjoy the assembly
November 15: Continental Breakfast and Can collection: We will prepare, serve, and collect cans for Divinity’s food pantry
December 13: Redeemer Crisis Center: We will help the center prepare for Christmas food distribution, serve a meal, and go out for dinner
January 10: Tobogganing at the Chalet: We will spend time with our friends and family
February 7: Nursing Home Services: We will lead worship service at local nursing homes
March 7: Laser Tag: We will enjoy pizza, fun, and fellowship with each other.
